I haven’t met someone as inept and lucks an idea of what is going on as Trump. Shortly after depriving the US of its essential aid, he welcomes African leaders to the white house. Does he truly think they are so foolish not to know what is going on, leave alone see what is just in front of their eyes or does he think he can outsmart all of them.
Trump blew away that very chance of thinking he got whits than all of them when he praised LIberia’s Joseph Boakai on his ” beautiful english.” ” And such good english, so beautiful. Where did you learn to speak so beautifully? Where were you educated ?” Trump commented. It’s obvious he was educated in his home country Liberia where English remains and has always been the official language. This shows how little he knows about his guests or rather the world at large.
An unnamed Liberia diplomat, according to Times, found the so-called ” compliment” demeaning. Jasmine Crockett termed it as peak ignorance posting on her twitter handles ” Trump never misses an opportunity to be racist and wrong, and every new day he finds new ways to be embarrassing. I am pretty sure being blatantly offensive is not how you go about conducting diplomacy.”
If my mind serves me right, during Trump’s first presidency he referred to African countries and Haiti as shit holes countries. Later as expected he denied it but none other than Dick Durbin was in the meeting and commented that Trump had made a hate speech full of racism. Currently the joke remains on Trump as Africa is increasingly being recognized as the frontier in economic growth.
Donald Trump has thrown away future chances with a fast growing and raising continent because of his impunity and racism. His ignorance has sent people back to the thoughts of questioning his cognitive abilities.
